The main purpose of co-founding the Khmer ParentsAssociation (KPA) with my beloved husband, Mark Hopson, 30 years ago was to empower our Khmer youth to pursue higher education and obtain college degrees. From our first annual event in 1995 to the 30th Annual in 2024, we have produced so many of tomorrow's leaders from today's Khmer youth. They are not just obtaining bachelor's degrees, but advancing to earn Master's and Doctorate degrees!
Our Annual KPA-SEA Scholarship Award Ceremony serves as a solid bridge and beacon of hope, reminding scholarship recipients to continue their road to higher education. This initiative provides a pathway for youth of all ethnicities to see how the power of education can help them reach their dreams.
